Blue Foundry Charitable Foundation Awards $124,000 in Grants to Thirteen New Jersey Nonprofits in Q3

 

PARSIPPANY, NJ – October 23, 2024 – Blue Foundry Charitable Foundation, Blue Foundry Bank’s foundation for supporting philanthropic efforts in New Jersey communities has been demonstrating what it means to be a leader in giving back. The Foundation supports the efforts of organizations that fall under the Foundation’s four giving pillars: Affordable Housing, Education, Health and Human Services, and Youth Programs.

Blue Foundry Charitable Foundation has proved its commitment to the communities it serves, awarding over $90,000 in grants so far this year, with over $124,000 in additional grants for the third quarter. The awarded nonprofits include:

Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative

Powered by passionate volunteers, BVMI delivers free, high-quality healthcare to     Bergen County’s working uninsured, helping them live healthy, productive lives.

Greater Middlesex & Morris Habitat for Humanity

A non-profit organization that builds and rehabilitates houses in partnership with families in need.

Interfaith Food Pantry

For over 25 years, the Interfaith Food Pantry Network has been a leader in the fight against hunger throughout Morris County.

Horizons Newark

Advancing educational equity by building partnerships with students, families, communities, and schools in Newark, New Jersey.

Women’s Center for Entrepreneurship

Empowering women to invest in themselves via entrepreneurship by providing necessary resources for women to successfully start, own, operate, & grow their businesses.

P.G. Chambers School Inc.

A leader in the education and development of children with disabilities, increasing the children’s confidence in their individual abilities, preparing them to engage in the community, and expanding their capacity to lead full, productive lives.

Advocating for children removed from their homes due to abuse and/or neglect.

Eva’s Village empowers those in need by providing them with hope, support and resources to live stable, healthy and productive lives

Joan Angela D’Alessandro Memorial Foundation (Joan’s Joy)

The Foundation promotes child safety via programs they provide and legislation they advocate for.

Women’s Rights Information Center

Provides knowledge and opportunities to support the economic aspirations, self-sufficiency, and emotional well-being of individuals so they may live with hope, security, and dignity.

In addition to issuing grants, Blue Foundry Bank and Blue Foundry Charitable Foundation have implemented a Community Impact Program, giving employees the opportunity to give back to the neighborhoods where they live and work. In the third quarter, they collaborated with the Women’s Rights Information Center, supporting the Foundation’s Education key giving pillar by assembling and donating backpacks filled with school supplies for underserved students.
